Abstract

This study aims to draw some perspectives on the future of Brazilian psychology. Therefore, we present a historical and political analysis of the emergence of psychology in Brazil, the profile and performance of the psychologist and the training in psychology in our country. From these analyzes, it becomes clear the inseparability of education, science and profession, the influence of the profession project in the construction of psychology and the need for positioning the category to take their future.

    Psicóloga, Mestre em Educação: Psicologia da Educação na PUC - SP. Soteropolitana, reside em São Paulo, interesse na área de Psicologia Social, Escolar e Educacional. Participante dos grupo de pesquisa "A Dimensão subjetiva da Desigualdade Social: suas diversas expressões" e "Atuação da Pós-Graduação stricto-sensu em Psicologia na formação de professores para o ensino superior" e pesquisadora do grupo de pesquisa “Direitos Humanos, Ética, Relações Raciais e Racismo na Contemporaneidade”. Possui experiência em pesquisa, ensino e consultoria educacional na formação formal e não formal de jovens.
