THE INFLUENCE OF QI GONG ON CHRONIC PAIN: A SYSTEMATIC REVIEW

Introduction: Pain is defined as an unpleasant sensory and emotional experience, described in terms of actual or potential tissue damage. The acute or chronic pain, in general, leads the individual to manifest symptoms such as changes in sleep patterns, appetite and libido, manifestations of irritability, impaired concentration, and capacity constraints to family activities, professional and social. Qi Gong is presented as a possible therapy in reducing the sensation of pain, reducing stress and providing an exercise in mild to moderate. Objectives: To determine the effect of internal Qi Gong in chronic pain. Methods: Narrative review of randomized controlled trials and prospective studies that evaluated the effects of internal Qi Gong in chronic pain, submitting to the Jadad scale. Results: The literature review found 14 articles with the theme of Qi Gong. Four fell within the purpose of this study, whose results showed positive effects in reducing pain. Conclusion: There was this study that internal Qi Gong is a practice that can improve the pain of individuals with chronic pain is correctly conducted and frequent rises guidance of a competent person for this type of activity.Downloads
