The objective of this report summary is to depict the experience of the 5th year academics in the course study of Occupational Therapy beginning in 2012, specifically pertaining to the internship of Collective Health. Over the course of the last several months, the class was imbedded with a multi-professional health team in Maceio, AL, to monitor a variety of disciplines of basic health unity (UBS) ranging from waiting room procedures; to personal home health care; to appropriate learned health education action and methodology usage. The in-situ observations made during the integrated internship residency not only enriched the course of study, but emphasized the importance of the practice and promotion of multidisciplinary work in collective health; and was recognized as fundamental in reinforcing previous academic study in the prevention and treatment in Collective Health.
