This essay reflects the impact of the pandemic associated with COVID-19 on family microsystems. It articulates the incidence of the pandemic as a disturbing event in the psychic processing of individuals with the phenomenon of seeking mental states driven by excess, as a drive object. It is postulated that the current situation created by the COVID-19 constituted a disruptive environment, but not necessarily traumatic. According to these considerations, this essay suggests some strategies which could mitigate the impact of the pandemic on interpersonal relationships within the family context.Downloads
