Women and psychological violence: psychotherapeutic research and intervention

In view of the high numbers of women victims without proper reception / treatment in Brazil, this study intends to promote the discussion about psychological violence, as a result of other forms of violence, especially domestic violence, which requires appropriate psychotherapeutic interventions. Thus, as it presented viability of the use of Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for the treatment of these cases. For this, a narrative review of literature was carried out, which contemplates classic authors and scientific articles published in recent years. In the end, it was perceived, therefore, that there is an insufficient research that deals with the damages caused by the psychological violence, as well as the importance of the psychology for the empowerment of the women.Downloads
