BIS: Open Call for Papers 2026

Brain Imaging and Stimulation (BIS) is open for the submission of new scientific content for publication. The scientific journal is part of the Bahiana Journals web portal, sponsored by the Bahiana School of Medicine and Public Health (Escola Bahiana de Medicina e Saúde Pública).

BIS is a Diamond Open Access journal, with no Article Processing Charges (APCs), dedicated to publishing research on brain function and interventions.

The Editors‑in‑Chief are Abrahão Fontes Baptista, from Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro) (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil), Adriana Leico Oda, from Federal University of São Paulo (Universidade Federal de São Paulo) (São Paulo, Brazil), Elisabete Carrara-de-Angelis, A.C.Camargo Cancer Center (São Paulo, Brazil) and Katia Nunes Sá, from Bahiana School of Medicine and Public Health (Bahia, Brazil).

The journal welcomes original empirical research articles; technological and methodological perspectives (new devices and methods) and infographics and videos within its thematic scope.
